AC Freezer 64 pro thermal pad?

Just got the "Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler" and noticed it has a grey thermal pad on it. Now I believe I can stick the cooler as it is with the thermal pad onto the cpu without any other compounds.

My question is will it be better to use this thermal pad or to clean it off and use "Arctic Ceramique Thermal Compound (2.7g)" which I already have???

Which will give better cpu temps??? Many thanks D.

It almost certainly won't be a pad, but will actually be pre-applied paste. Most these days come with pretty good paste so it's probably not worth the bother to remove and reapply with something different.

It will disolve in 1sec and wipe clean with ISO PROPYLN CLEANER, then stick on some AS5 and get a few C's drop over 200 hours.
