A while back, i quite happly used my soundblaster 1024 cards digital out jack (3.5 lead to phono jack)fed into my creative 5.1 sound system. And after that, i owned a shuttle which i fed the optical lead into the creative 5.1 system. Now ive tried doing the same via coxial connections from various soundcards and i can no longer get it to output in 5.1... only normal stereo. AC3 filters are installed and i can select the spdif output from within say power dvd, but it fails to let me use the output, or i get static sound, or some sound, but not all channels. I dont know what ive done wrong ?
