Hi guys, I got AC4 today, The game and well playing it is awful. I'll give a run down of my hardware.

Memory: 8192MB RAM DDR3 1800Mhz
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~4.5GHz (Watercooled)
Card name: AMD Radeon R9 280x Series 3GB
Current Mode: 2560 x 1440 (32 bit) (60Hz)
SSD 128Gb and a 1TB Drive

Anyway, I thought that if I started at max settings and worked my way down I could find a very nice setting for 60FPS (Vsync)

How I was wrong, I've had to turn settings pretty low to get a stable 60fps and even then it dips below it. I've notice it's only maxing out one CPU core which maybe the problem, There's also zero driver support for the game.

Does anyone know anything I can use to improve FPS until there's fixes/patches.

All of that is pretty terrible anyway?

Ah well, I guess am stuck to using low graphics settings till they fix the cpu issue.

Yes but they do have max details and 4xMSAA and AF.

Higher resolutions need less AA, so try that first.

For what it's worth I'm running it at 1920*1200 with absoultely everything on the highest setting with the exception of AA (I'm using 2*TXAA) on the spec in my sig. I'm averaging 50-60 FPS the vast majority of the time so I dont think theres any CPU isuse? I do notice it seems to run one of my cores permenantly at 100% though.

Do you get similiar performance to me if you drop to 1920*1200? Could simply be that 2560 is asking too much.

I get the issue with my first core being ramped into 100% and the other cores left sitting at 40% which I think has something to do with low FPS.

Am sure if I lowered the res down to 1920 by 1200 I'd gain something around those frames however, this display cost a lot of money and I avoid going lower on it. It looks bad :P
