What the hell is is with these two products? Have they got the biggest advertising budget in the world? There's barely a website out there that's not advertising the sodding things down the side claiming that someone has lost 22kg of stomach fat in 4 weeks or some such BS.

Seriously, 22kg is like what 50+pounds or 4 stones. That can't even be safe or possible to lose in 4 weeks.

Is there any truth whatsoever in all this? Are the claims about Oprah/CNN whatever valid?

they're all promoted by affiliates,so they're everywhere... its not so much the company selling them themselves that are advertising. all major mainstream cpa (cost per action) affiliate networks (eg azoogle ads) have loads of acai berry offers for affiliates to promote. and if you order, i think you pay like $5 or so for a trial (just pay postage), then after even as much as 5-7 days it rebills at something like $40+ for your next months supply.

i'm pretty sure they have *some* scientific proof that they do something, but i doubt its as much as the ads claim

(btw i don't promote these products, i try and stay away from scammy stuff like this when doing affiliate work... i know a *lot* of affiliates do promote em though)
