Hey all,

Does anyone know of a program which seperates the voice and instrumental parts of music? I'm looking for either that or something that just supresses the instruments so i get voice only acapella.

I've got Creative media source player but it only does instrumental unless there's something i haven't found.

Cheers, Azz

Very difficult to get a proper seperation - you can either karaoke a song (by removing the centre channel) which usually removes the vocals, drums, bass... :o

If you then listened to what you subtracted in isolation, your ears would bleed.

Officially sanctioned acapellas are the way to go, although some mashup DJs have success in cutting limited frequencies from songs.

Yeh its tricky, especially with a bust track.I`ve had usable results tho by applying a high pass filter and taking out the low frequencies and boosting volume.
The best plug in i`ve found is sonic foundry noise reduction vs2,it almost does it perfectly near the extreme reduction settings but introduces some high frequency artifacts.See if you can find a demo and have a fiddle with it.
