I just tried this one, and wondered how accurate it was, and if anyone has a better, more accurate calculator or formula to work it out.

http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

It says my BMR is 1754.36

I'm 29, 5ft 9inch and 162lbs

Just trying to find out what I'm burning a day

1500 from working a 7 hour shift walking like a nutter, Its a Lower end estimate, I worked it out at more like 1800, but thats with a constant pace of 4mph, which obviously that will vary

So 1500 + 1754.36 = 3254.36 calories burnt per day

Does that sound about right??

Now I also do a 3 day split, but i havent added any of the calories from my weights in, nor have I added in the pilates i do inorder to improve my posture.

On a side note, aslong as I'm eating enough protein, The amount of calories I'm burning/cardio I'm doing shouldnt be detrimental to muscle growth....Right? :p

Well using that site - You have a BMR of 2102.2.

for 22, 6ft 2in 200lbs.. im a bit chubby around the mid section :/. but I recon its about right.

Id say it would affect it a bit, due to the fact that if the body can not get enough energy from carbs / fat it starts to convert protein into energy.

For a good test, perhaps up your calories if they are not past 3k already, and see what gains you get?
