Acceleration issue

If someone could help diagnose my car issue that would be great

When I accelerate in the first few gears my car wheel shakes uncontrollably from left to right and there's a loud clanking sort of sound from beneath. The shaking is still there up until around 60mph when it quietens down.

Any ideas? It's booked into the garage but was hoping to get some idea before my wallet gets emptied

I should add that it only happens after the cars been running for a while, like 20 miles or so. I started iit up earlier and it was fine? Cars a clio btw
