Am awaiting delivery of Accelero S1 to cool my Zotac 8800gt (not AMP) .

Anyone tried the combo? and if so with what results?

Any hints/tips much appreciated.

Thanks in advance:D

Idles at 30-36c, loads at about 42c.

Raikiri , The fan you have attached is a ?

Am currently running at 50c idle 80c load (crysis) - that looks a nice improvement.

Easy fit ? Any probs in removing existing Zotac cooler?

It isn't a Zotac, uses much the same cooler though. Undo all the screws and it just lifts off no problem.

The fan is a Yate Loon 120mm running at 7v (~800rpm).

I accidentally bought the S2 instead of the S1 (how I managed that I'm not quite sure).

I'd got half way through installing it before I realised and went ahead with it anyway. I now have 45-50C idle and 60-75C load (OC'd to spec in sig) depending on the game without an extra fan attached to it, and the S1 is a lot better than the S2, so if mine's anything to go by then it's definitely worth buying :)

Fitted today included turbo fans .

Idle now 36c (13c drop)
Load now 47c (30c+ :cool:drop)

Running at stock speeds for Zotac i.e.660core/1600shaders/1800mem.

Decided I will let it settle for a week and then push it a bit:D

Took my time cleaned the gpu/ram/vreg twice with Akasa Tim clean and then with isopropyl alcohol befor fixing ram heatsinks and (I had some old coolermaster alum.ones- bought years ago but never used) vreg heatsinks.
All fitted and appears that sinks have stuck - hopefully they will stay stuck

Only problem I had was the packet contained 2 extra screws and washers but no female T fixing bits. - just didn't bother with the plastic fittings which I think are to give it support and rigidity but as quite light and rigid without am not too worried

First time swap gpu cooler for me - went quite smoothly; took about 3hrs in total including tea brake .

This has my unreserved recomendation - the temp drop and lack of noise is well worth the expenditure and time spent:)
