I know many of you have already had good results with Accelero S1 on a 8800GT but I just want to see if lapping makes any difference at all to this brilliant cooler. OK less talking more pics:
When I started
Five minutes afterward - As you can see there was a deep scar in the middle which took me half hour extra on the 400grit to get rid of.
Finished pic
Not exactly mirror finish but it's flat
Ghetto turbo module lol - the 2nd fan is slightly higher to make way for the wireless card.
The card will now run at 730/1850/950 without crashing in 3DMark 2006, Crysis, and COD4. I get 14741 3DMark now and a healthy 46fps in crysis benchmark (1280x1024 DX9 high no aa) and will keep pushing it to see how much more it will do (See if I can break 15K mark). The temp atm is 43C idle in a cramped case, max load temp during COD4 was 54C, was hoping for a bit cooler than that though:

If any of you have the unlapped S1 + 8800GT result feel free to compare as I lapped it the moment I got the cooler so I don't have the original results.
