I installed an accelero s1 rev2 cooler on my Dad's xfx radeon 4850 1gb on Tuesday afternoon and he played MW2 on Tuesday night for an hour or so without any problem.
But now when playing a game the card is shutting off after a few minutes and when stressing the card with furmark it's shutting off after roughly 110secs with the gpu temp at 65°C.
It's fine with general pc use.
The only thing I wasn't sure about if I put the voltage ram heatsink's on the actual voltage regulators ... is the 4 casings with the R47 on it the voltage regulator's ?
That's the only thing I can think as to why it's overheating, but if it that was the case you think the card would have shut down on Tuesday night.
Any other suggestions as to what the problem could be ?
