I have an Accelero Twin Turbo 2 coming tomorrow for my 670. Does anyone know if i can use my own thermal paste on the main chip and under all the heatsinks, rather than using the paste that you can mix that comes with it?

Thanks

You can use your own paste on the GPU but the RAM/VRM's need to be glued on with thermal adhesive (or you can buy some pads)

You can use your own thermal paste on the main chip but make sure its non conductive just to be safe.

You need to use the paste they give you for the heatsinks as it is a glue.

If you want to make the cleanup operation easier when you remove it, use akasa tape on the memory.
Use the glue on the vrm's for best results.

Ahh ok guys thanks, ill use the paste provided for the heatsinks, i had no idea it was a glue haha. Can't wait to put it together, love messing with new things like that. I have thermal pastes i can use on the main chip. Arctic silver and Ic Perihelion which ive never used. They are very different, Arctic as everyone knows is very thin and spreads easily. Ic Perihelion looks extremely thick and a possible nightmare to use. What do you guys think?

Remember & leave the glue on the vrm's to set for at least 5 hours.

If you don't, there's a good chance they'll fall off once you put the card back in.

Use the IC as it's non-conductive/capacative.
If you use the AS, use the spread method to make sure none of it can leak over the edge of the chip.
