Half age + 7 is always the best rule.
why, it's a random pointless number, which means nothing.
There is only two things that matter
A) it's legal
B) both sides are happy.
Half age + 7 is always the best rule.
Who broke up with who? If he broke up with her and she still talks to him all the time by text I would be worried that she still had a thing for him.

Yes. Some will jump to the assumption that she's a gold digger and you're a perv*I'm not looking for relationship advice as I can handle that, but would other people feel a bit weird about it?
I like your styleany girl older than 12 is ok with me son.
[TW]Fox;16665007 said:I don't care what anyone says, I personally find massive age gaps very weird if the girl is particularly young. I cannot see a single reason why a stable, sensible, mature and decent 40 year old man would want to have a relationship with a 17 year old girl. It's seedy, sordid and the idea repulsis me. 17 year old girls are just kids - great fun for 17 year old guys but for a grown adult? It's pathetic and desperate, sorry.
I appreciate some might find this opinion quite abrasive but I just really, really dislike it. The guy is usually taking advantage of the girl, offering her security, etc etc which is how he gets his own way.
The crap about both sides being happy so its fine is just that - crap. A 17 year old who is 'happy' with an 40 year old man is only happy because they dont know any different or have been conditioned to feel that way by the guys constant gifts, better financial standing, etc.
Neither can I see why any young girl with her head screwed on would want to date somebody older than her father. Seriously, why? All those nice fit guys around of her own age, interested in the same things she is, in tune with her own culture and she picked some seedy guy who couldnt even hold together a long term relationship like most other 40 year olds?
Why? Too many questions with this sort of thing.
I'm 29 and i've just started seeing a girl who's 20 (21 soon). She is very mature for her age... but then why wouldn't she? you get loons across the whole age spectrum. I don't have a problem with the age gap and nor does she.
I think if you're both happy and everything is legal then everything is green lit to go.
My best friend is with a guy who is 11 years older than her (her being 17), I had massive reservations at first but after meeting him and getting to know them and all, it really, really works.
But what if its the other way round? Does that make any difference?
I'm 20 and I fancy the pants off this "girl" at work - she just turned 30 last week...
Is that weird?
I'm being naughty and breaking the 1/2+7 rule
I'm 26
She's 19
But to be fair, there is no relationship. Just nasty stuff.
It's not weird but it may be difficult. She is at the time of her life when she may be thinking about having kids (if she hasn't already).
Ahh...My mate who is also 26, started a relationship with a girl who just turned 17!!! “9 months and still going strong” he keeps on staying but I keep on telling him.
"Wait till she turns 18 and is legally allowed to go out clubbing and not bound by any laws, we’ll see how strong your relationship is then when she starts discovering other guys out there”
