Acceptable CPU Temps & Stress Tests

I went the other way and dialled in Mulitplier 43 and Uncore/Cache 43, lowered my vcore too. Ram is at 1866, 2x8gb. Might try and raise Multi to 44 tonight if I get time. My Cinebench score dropped a little, but not as much as I was expecting.

This is my next mission: getting core/uncore a bit closer to each other. If I can get them both to 45x I'll be chuffed... (Fingers crossed I got a good chip...):cool:
 
Hey dougal1331, thanks for checking in. Been away for a couple days so will hopefully have chance to try tonight. Fingers crossed, will update shortly :-)
 
Hi dougal1331, thanks again for all the info, i think you're onto something with those settings as I got the highest Cinebench and PerformanceTest scores so far.

Temps are good and CPU usage low on the tests, however it's not quite stable as when running the RealBench video encryption test it fell over twice (where as this ran through ok previously).

I'll keep tweaking to get the right balance or will otherwise stick with the auto-overclock for now - as you say that seems to have sat well so far (but theres something rewarding on setting it yourself :-) )
