Been thinking of downgrading for a while now,i hardly play games these days..except for the occasional go at WarZ (not very demanding) and sometimes BF3 multi but id be willing to lower settings.

Thought it would be a good time to sell my custom GTX 670 while its still worth some, and probably pick up a used cheap HD 6770 1GB or something similar for around £30 ish...just for the occasional game (when i feel like it)

What card would you say downgrade too?

This whole downgrading thing rarely ever pays.

You will have lost money on the 670 already, and how much money would you have saved once you sell and buy new card?

And even with occasional gaming, how long would the 6770 last you before you needed something more, versus keeping the 670 that much longer?

He has a point, but if you insist i would stick with a lower end Kepler or a lower end AMD 7###.
