Hi,

What is deemed as an acceptable idle temp for the 4850? Right now I have it idling at 65C-70C. Got the fans running as slow as possible before they stall (900rpm). Plus I seem to remember seeing 80-90C before when I had the stock cooler on there when under load, so I assume when under load as long as I keep it below 80C ideally it will be all good.

Just trying to keep the noise of my pc to the minimum! And that at 900rpm is about the loudest thing in my pc.

My Powercolour HD 4850 ran at about 42c at idle and with the default fan settings. The card can't be heard at idle.

Even at load the highest I saw it go to was about 65c.

Your temps do seem very high for that card but if it is operating okay and within spec then all is good.
