I've been trying to access a NAS attached to our router via my macbook but to no avail.

The drive in question is a 250gb freecom external hard drive. It's connected up to the router and I'm able to see it via every windows pc through my network places.

I've tried to look for info via the search and internet, but have had no luck as of yet.

It's a true NAS drive. It's connected up to the router through via ethernet and then through a switch.

The NAS filesystem? I wouldn't have a clue. It works fine on every windows laptop, but cannon see it on any macbook when connected to the network.

Have you tried Finder > Go > Connect to server, enter smb://192.168.X.X (IP of your nas)?

It should list any Samba shares on the server and you should be able to choose which to mount. That usually works for me if for some reason I reboot my server and it's name disappears from the sidebar.
