Access bios safely without CPU cooler?

Okay so I had to send my Phanteks PH-TC14PE back thanks to damage during transport. Meanwhile I'd like to test if the PC posts and check out the BIOS. I'd rather not fit the intel cooler only to replace it a couple of day later. Am I at risk of overheating the CPU while just looking at the BIOS?

Okay just was unsure about removing the thermal paste as I don't have any of the remover. Unless it doesn't really matter?

Okay bit of a strange start. Pressed on Button. Turned on for 5 seconds turned off for about 2-3 seconds then it turned back on and I get missing operating system before I get chance to enter bios

Hang on, Memory is showing as 1333?!

Nevermind fixed with setting XMP Profile to 1

Thanks for the advice guys. So far everything looks good. hopefully the replacement will get here today or tomorrow
