Since I couldnt see an Operating System Section I will ask here.
My uncle through ways unknown completely ****** his computer up but there was stuff on his computer he wanted and it wouldnt boot in safe mode.
So I put the CDin and said repair windows and managed to get it into safe mode and copy all the "My Documents" stuff over to a folder in E: drive and then proceeded to format C and put a fresh copy of windows on.
UH-OH now after re-installing and he tried to access the files on E drive it says "Access Denied" and shows the folders as 0kb but the drive has 3.45GB in use ??????
Also after re-installing windows I stored some programs from a DVD Disc I got (From Magazine) onto E: Drive but now even though everyone is an administrator only he can open them ????? WTF.
I then proceeded to connect the HDD to another computer and it still wont allow access says "Access Denied" and says he dont have rights to access it but the account has the same name as his old one.
BUT the really wierd thing is everything on E: cannot be accessed because of that message and everything on D: can be accessed I cant figure out why only E: is having restricted rights just because I re-installed windows.
Is there a program that will bypass this "Access Denied" message on his partition and allow him to access the folders or is he well and truly screwed cause about 75% of the files were documents and 3-3.5GB is a LOT of ******* documents.
