Access Is Denied

I have a partition created just for 'media' i.e. video of gigs etc.. etc..

I created a folder put some stuff in it, now when I click on it I get 'Access Is Denied' - My PC is not a network (bar the internet)

What would cause this? I just create another folder and it is ok. Trouble is I cant access them videos now :mad:

Switch of simple file sharing and add yourself with rights to the folder.

Open My Computer, click Tools then Folder Options. Click the View tab and scroll to the bottom of the options, then untick Use Simple File Sharing. Now right-click the folder you need access too and select the Security tab. You should now be able to add your own user account.

You may need to do this logged in as the Administrator depending on how your accounts are set up.

Ah, apologies, you hadn't mentioned you were on XP Home which I believe is missing the bit I was talking about
