Hi guys,

I have a PPC mac mini as my desktop running Tiger.
I have a 2.2 Macbook as my laptop running Leopard.

I have information on external harddrives connected to my mac mini that I would like to access whilst abroad.

I have 24/7 broadband access at either end.

What is the best solution for me?

Why not look at .Mac / MobileMe with there Back to Mac feature.

That way don't need to worry about anything like knowing/remembering the IP address etc.

It's not free but does exactly what you want.

it depends how important it is to access your data. if its vital i'd save it online like advised above, otherwise look at a remote access client but this has the negatives that your machine 'might' crash or your adsl might go down etc.

Predominantly just copying. Purely it is that I do not have enough space on my macbook for all of the files and I want to continue some movie and photo editing whilst abroad.

The main issue with a lot of the options is that I am like most on a standard home broadband connection (Blueyonder -> Virgin Media Cable) and as such I don't think I have a static IP?
