I have a Netgear WG602 here at work with an unknown IP address. The access point has a static IP address as it was used before they were replaced but there is no documentation to say what the IP was.

Is there a way to either find the IP or even better reset it back to the default IP it came with.

Many thanks

Firstly performe a Factory reset(you will find the small pin hole at the back of the wg602),

2) check netgear.com/support for the WG602 docs. From memory to access the device for the first time your'll need to manually enter TCP/IP details into your PC to interface with it. But then you can change the IP/Subnet the WG602 functions on. Then revert your PC back to TCP/IP defaults.

I think you misunderstood what i was trying to say. This AP has already been used before and already given a different static IP from the default one that it came with. The network manager who was here before me never documented what the IP address was changed to. So at the moment i have no way of accessing the AP to change the IP.

Which is why a factory reset was suggested. If you do that it'll go back to the default IP, which should be in the manual.

My apologies ThomP did'nt know that resetting would change the IP back to the default one. Dont have a manual here.

Many thanks
