Access Point setup on a SKY / BT FTTP broadband

Current setup:
Virgin Media M350 - in Modem mode
Orbi R50 router with 2 satellites (Orbi can run in either Router/AP Mode)
2 Netgear switches off the Orbi
Copper Landline

Planning to switch to BT / SKY 500 fibre optic broadband.

Need the phone so have to use the isp Broadband Hub. Neither isp hub provides modem only hub. So, have to run Orbi as Access Point mode otherwise might get double Nat.
My issues are:

1. If I switch off WiFi mode in the isp Hub and run Orbi in AP Mode, will Orbi still manage the ip addresses?
2. If I run Orbi in Router mode, will Double Nat be a major issue?

Any suggestions please?

1. If you turn off the dhcp service on the sky hub then the orbi can handle dhcp (manage up addresses).

2. Double Nat isn’t generally a major issue.

Some people have got the phone working without the sky hub but it’s a bit of hassle. Have you looked into other phone services?

I understand that one cannot turn off dhcp in Sky / BT hub. Any pointers towards the phone working threads? What other phone services are you referring to please?

I'm fairly certain it can be disabled as I did it while doing some testing with the Sky hub and pfsense.

Something I saw on getting the phone working https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Third-party-router-with-FTTP/m-p/3985336

It's not something I know a ton about as I don't bother with a home phone, but there's lots of voip services available.

Have decided to go without the landline option - can do without it now. The 3rd party router will now go directly to ONT port. (meets DHCP 61 and IPV6 criteria)
