Appologies in advance for not really knowing where to post this one.

Bought a Panasonic TV a little while back that has a lan port and a couple of USB ports. Now Panasonic do a little wireless usb dongle that you can use to connect wirelessly should you want to, to access BBc-Iplayer and such.

Thing is Panasonic dongle is close to £100, and other wireless usb's appear not to be supported.

So knowing absolutely nothing about is could I use a wireless access port such as this

And simpley connect to the TV's lan port? Or is that just not what what they're for?

Either that or have you thought about powerline adapters ?

That was my first thought, but I'm basically skint at the moment so was looking for "cheap n cheerfull"

After a bit of digging this looks like it's going to be the best alternative, apparently the Panasonic dongle is based on this one and people are having good results.

cheers andy, yes it is some thing i was looking at but put aside as because i only have a single mains outlet behind the pc, that already has an 8 way safeblock plugged into it. as they recommend they go straight into socket i sort of dismissed them.
but just by chance over the weekend came across these. (pass through)

As my router is a BT home hub thought they'd be ideal.

Little more digging and Amazon where knocking em out cheaper still, so bit the bullet and ordered a pair.

Once they arrive I'll let you know how they go, bit more than I wanted to pay but that's because I skint at the mo, but at least it's on the plastic..:)

Cheers for the advice.
