Took a Macbook (Unibody 13" with Snow Leopard) for a screen repair (1 inch vertical strip of corruption) 55 days ago - not completed and Macbook still in bits, they will give me the internal drive

I really need to copy some data (hard disk was fully working and no suggestion anything untoward has happened since)

I have a Windows 7 PC, an XP PC and can install Linux if required
Will have a friends Macbook 13" later tonight

Best way to access the data ?

The Mac will read the drive fine. Windows you would probably need something like HFS+ for Windows by Paragon. Otherwise a Linux Live CD like Ubuntu Rescue Remix etc.
