Hiya folks,

I've got 3 machines on my home network 2 running Win7 ultimate and a laptop running win7 home premium.

Playing around with my new galaxy nexus I can now access my network via WIFI but what do I need to do in order to access it whilst away from home.

And If i can do it with my phone then I should be able to do the same thing with the laptop..Yes?

I'm hoping that win7 can do this rather than gotomypc etc

Cheers
Matt

Lol.....What?

Ok I'm re-reading it slowly.

Accessing the win7 ultimate pc's would be a result but I can get away with just the 1.

I was kinda hoping I could just access my router then the network just like I do when at home but via the net.

So if thats out the question.

Port forward??? on the router or the PC I'm trying to access

Cheers guys,

I'm only really after being able to access my spreadsheets whilst away from home.

I looked at setting up a VPN but got kinda lost. As I cant visualise what I'm meant to be doing And end up with 20 google tabs open whilst searching what certain terms mean.

Setting up my home network was easy. I can access all PC's and all drives on the network from any pc now (even on my phone) but only whilst on my router. Is there no way to connect to my router from a distance and then see my network as I do when at home.

I can remotely operate my router. But that only seems to give me access to my router

Cheers again
Matt

Hamachi VPN.

Thanks

Before I spotted the above post I found a laymens guide to setting up a VPN. So I now have a VPN set up on my win7 machine. Its set up from the phone and they are both connected.

But I haven't yet sussed out how to access my files.

I have astro and ES file explorer on my Gnex.
