Hi Everyone,

Leading on from this thread which im not having much luck with: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17838408

The only way I am going to get this driver, is to restore from the hidden partition, To do this you press f10 on boot, the only trouble is that its not working. From googling I have discovered that by doing a clean install the boot.ini changes stopping this from happening.

So this it what ive done.

1 Used Acronis to back up the hidden partition.
2 Restored the partion to an new Harddrive making it an active partition.
3 Burnt the files to a dvd.

But can I somehow use this DVD to restore the partition, this is were I am now stuck.

Cheers

Gas

P.S The software used is PC-Angel I have been to their website but no joy.

Just had a look at the other thread and the link to http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/laptop/7088.htm

What I would suggest is to try and make the recovery partition on the new hdd "hidden". But you'll need to create another partition and set that as the primary partition.

Then try using the F10 when powering up to see if it can access the recovery software.

Thanks for the reply,

When I recovered the hidden partition and made it active I used a secondary HDD.The original HDD still has the hidden partition but I cannot access it through F10 at boot.

Hope that made sense
