I have a program, it is 2gb in size and is coming up on my computer as an iso image file, how do i get to the program, everytime i open it, it just opens anoter program called sonic record now, i have tried burning it to disc with sonic and it still doesn't run anything but sonic. Tar.

either open it with winrar, or use something like alcohol or daemon to mount the iso and access it that way on the virtual drive

Or if it's a programme you want to keep, use nero and burn to a dvd

Edit: think this should have been posted in 'Windows & other software'

Vader is right. The iso file is a CD or DVD disk image. In Windows you'll need a 3rd party tool to mount it as a virtual drive. In Linux or OS X you could do this natively.

Alcohol 120% is a great tool for managing images but it costs money. Daemon Tools lets you mount image files and it's free (as im beer), IIRC. Go for Daemon Tools.

you could use imgburn to burn it to disc

or 7zip to excract the files to a directory

both are freeware

ive got both daemon and 7zip installed. daemon is great if you want to mount an image as a virtual drive. use 7zip if you just want to check it out and poke around though - its quicker than mounting images with daemon:)

ISOBuster will let you see the contents of the file before extraction, and then can extract it for you. :)

What he said ^^^^. it's not free but the OP didn't ask for free software just a tool that worked. HTH.
