Accessing mac drive in PC.

As title really. I need to access a mac drive from my PC. I have tried the software 'macdrive 7', but it breaks my windows install for some reason on bootup and have to boot from last known working configuration.

Is there any free software out there that can do this job.

Am I right in saying that I I format my pen drive to fat32 and plug this into the mac i will be able to copy files across to it, then in turn plug into my PC to access?

Could try HFSExplorer

Formatting to FAT32 would be fine, Mac OSX supports read and write access for that file format.
