So this morning I switch on the PC to find my Windows install totally corrupted or something. I've had to reinstall Windows onto another hard drive. The problem is I really need to transfer as much of what I can off from the old hard drive, like my work, photos, and so on. The other problem is since they were kept under my old profile, Windows won't let me access them. Just says access is denied.
Is there some way I can take control of that and force access? I know Vista was able to force itself to access files under that same XP install, can I do it from this new XP install?
