Accessing Windows 8 share from Mountain Lion

This one's got me a little confused and I'm not sure how to get around it so I'm hoping someone has encountered a similar issue and resolved it .

Everything works grand when the share on the Windows 8 machine has the 'Everyone' group added. I can access the share from ML. The problem comes from when I want the share to be more restricted, and only be accessed by my account and not any other machine on the network.

Because I am setup on Windows 8 using my Microsoft account, the ML and Windows account names no longer match.

Anyone any ideas?

I might be wrong here but when you connect to the win 8 share on ML, you should be able to connect by inputting your win 8 credentials?
