Today has been a very surreal as I was involved in my first ever crash a nice big one.

Basically was on a 60 mph road halfway up there is a right turn. Two cars infront of me was turning right so naturally everyone slowed down and we came to a stop (car turning right, car infront of me, me and my friend who was behind me). The next thing I know I see my friend coming straight at me from know where hitting my heavily in the back right with him eventually ending up 20m in front of me. The cause being is that a double decker bus behind my friend obviously didn't notice stopped traffic and gone straight into the back of my stationary friend at considerable speed.

His car is a right off, not sure about mine but it was undriveable so looking like a right off.

Have a replacement car coming tomorrow and shortly after accident went A&E
affter suffering neck pains and have very bad whip lash. After speaking to people they reccomend creating a personal injury claim. But is this done through insurance or better to go through seperate group like helphire?

Thanks

On my I phone at the moment but will post some picture tomorrow of the cars.
Yea my friend is doing alright now just had stomach problems due to belt so been told if he feels Ill or faints to go striaht a&e the passenger in his car got whiplash and a sprained ligament in his knee. Lucky know one was in the back of his car as the boot had merged into rear seats and was about an inch of room from
the rear seats to front seat if there was a passanger was I there would have been a serious problem. Ford fiesta 01
Passenger in my car just had similar problems.

Lucky, that knowone is seriosuly injured could have easily been a lot worse!

If someone did that to my car I'd get out and beat them up with a keyboard :(

Ha ha I think he would have done if he could have gotten into his boot. Still don't know how he managed to stop it from rolling. Whitness said it was like his car jumped in air when was hit. Airbags didn't work though. Or do they not when hit from behind?

You try writing the same post with probable shock

OP, I can recommend a very very good solicitor if you want. He's been in a similar accident himself (being hit by a bus) so knows what it feels like.

My email is in trust.

Thanks for that will email you tomorrow evening. Is it better to go through solicited rather then you insurance company?? I was the driver who was struck from the back by mate

Here is the back of my mates car:

The boot has merged into the back seats so lucky know one was there.

From the picture you can't see the impact and damage as it was all on the right hand side but hoping that it might be repairable.

Its a hire car till the other one gets fixed or new car

I don't think it makes any difference as it wasn't my fault- additional driver. I won't be getting insurance next year anyway hopefully University

PS. Lynchy hope you are ok, first vehicle accident can be a smidge scary!

Doing fine just got a really sore neck from crash. The worse injury if the fiesta driver who has whiplash same as me and done muscles in wrist his passenger as the same but sprained ligament in knee.

Yea it was really surreal, kind of everything happened then heard all the smashing noises then took me a while to realise what had happened

Insurance company have said that it wont effect the price of my policy or anyone's on the insurances premiums or no claims. When I do have to apply for them on my own insurance i will be about 21 then at the earliest.

Had sine pretty bad neck pain over last few days but seems to be getting on the mend but now have a aching lower back:

my insurance have advices to go for compensation from my injuries and recieved the paper work today but it's says that I am " sueing " that ford that went into the back of me due to the impact of bus driver. Was wondering if I complain again him then his insurance get claim it all back off the bus driver??

Just to let you all know both car have been written off :/

Update: Everything seems to finally be getting organised now we have been offered £4400 for the 53 307 which isn't to unreasonable.

Injuries have improved all i am getting now is towards a long day i can get some back pains near the bottom but following some of the stretches that NHS recommended me helps a lot so just doing them in the morning.
