Accidentally deleted start menu, help!!

Hello,

I was tinkering with my start menu organisation in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu and rearranging different shortcuts into different folders. Cue an accidental Shift+Del and I've managed to get rid of the lot.

Now I'm screwed - Lots installed but no shortcuts. Any help?! I've tried Recuva which was no use.

just do a system restore to a few days ago,should fix it

ohh dear,i dont know what you can do then apart from keep system restore enabled from now on

if its windows 7 then right click the folder

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

then properties/previous versions and see if you can recover the folder that way

Just re-create the folder and then spend a while manually creating all your shortcuts.

Search computer for .exe, add shortcuts to start menu. Simples
