For the past 2 nights now with worrys going on i've accidentally left my daily lens' in overnight, i wake up in the morning, realise, take them out put new ones in and off I go.

Any MAJOR problems in doing this?

Obviously I don't intend to keep on doing it, and will make a point of taking them out about 8 tonight and be blind infront of my computer for the night, but what are the chances I've done anything serious to my eyes?.
They feel alittle sore at the minute.

Many Thanks

Phate

I forget all the time and I've not suffered any serious damage. In fact, just this weekend gone I had two in the same eye for a whole day cos I'd been out the Friday night and just figured the discomfort in my eye on Saturday morning was just being hungover.....only realised when I got in that night ;)

Your eye can sometimes be a little tender afterwards, but generally when I change it for a new one I feel better. Got any drops?

IIRC you starve your eyes of essential oxygen. Dont do it.

I've done it quite a few times, I wouldn't worry. Just don't make a habbit of it ;) It bloody hurts taking them out in the morning too. It's like pealing a layer of skin off your eye ball (I know your eye isn't skin lol you know what I mean)

When my girlfriend forgets to take hers out overnight, she complains that they're really dry in the morning.

Uncmfortable I guess, but there seems to be no adverse effects (the lack of brain cells is common to all women no?) :D

It will feel a bit weird. Try to wear your glasses as much as possible the next day if you sleep with them in.

Shouldn't be any long term damage as long as you don't make a habit of doing it.

They do start sticking to your eye after a short time, so it may be best to get some drops in before taking them out (I've done this and it has hurt for the best part of 2 days after)

as said, you should be fine, but don't make a habit of it or you'll start to suffer dry eye and all kinds of uncomfortable things...

eyes are more hardy than people think - I used to have to use solution that first of all you had to use a peroxide solution to clean and disinfect them and then use a neutraliser to put them in your eyes - guess who forgot they hadn't been neutralised and ended up with a peroxide covered lens in her eye?? \o.

Hurt like hell for a few days but recovered with no ill-effects (except a fear of peroxide!)

As said it isn't good for your eyes as it starves them of oxygen, more so if you are younger as they are still developing

And this can have a knock on effect like more blood vessels being created.

My ex had this issue, her opto said that because she wore them so often, more blood vessels we growing in an attempt to get more oxygen, and this can lead to blindness is untreated

AAAAARGH THAT BURNs SO BAD!!!

Yeah as said above phate, don't make a habit of it but I've done it plenty of times. Saying that I am as blind as a bat (but I think that's down to the amount of pr0n)
