Accounting software

I want some software to do basic accounts with, produce quotes and invoices and make it all as easy as possible. What's the best thing to use?

Sage products are pretty much the standard for small to medium sized businesses.

Have a look at Sage instant accounts

Freeagent is excellent for small businesses. It's web based, so you can access from anywhere and even give your accountant direct access if you want, produces nice invoices and emails them for you, as well as automated reminders etc. You also don't have to worry about backups and the support is excellent.

sage is the probably the most widely used. I use it and it's very good.

i spent a very long time researching this and this is the best software i have ever used

you can take orders on it, convert them to invoices, log in from anywhere, have simultaneous log ins, plus so much more

and there is a trial.. for the money this cant be beat

www.freshbooks.co.uk - not full accounting but best invoicing system out there.

www.clearbooks.co.uk - full online accounting
www.xero.co.uk - full online accounting

Don't touch quickbooks whatever you do.

Don't have any experience with Sage, but if i were to choose again I would go online.

Automatic invoice reminders to begin with.

Agreed. I have been using it for years. It is extremely easy to use, good value for money and the support is superb!

I highly recommend you check out the 2 month trial, you don't need to register your credit card details or anything, just have a play around.
