Accounts software for one man band

Free, preferably

I had planned to look at Microsoft Accounting but it seem to have been withdrawn? Any thing else worthy of a look?

Ideally, I want something I can put 'products' into and produce an invoice.
I'm sure there must be hundreds of options?

Pretty standard off the shelf package. Just does the invoicing mind you, their accounting software is fairly pricy!

Whilst it's not free, Solar Accounts - http://www.solaraccounts.co.uk/ is very good.

It looks fairly simple, but it's actually quite powerful and surprisingly easy to use. I used to use the Microsoft one until it got dropped, this is much faster too.

I use MS Office Accounting. Does what I need.

Mail in trust if you want me to dig out the install file and send it to you.

That would be the US version, which won't do £'s.
