I came into work tonight and my manager asked me into his office.
He said I was accused of "nodding off" during my shift in Sunday night. I smiled thinking it was a joke but he was serious.

I completely denied it and gave him witnesses and he is completely in agreement that it's a load of crap.

Question is do I drop it and move on or take it further and find out who is accusing me of this.

Used to sleep all the time on night shifts, isn't that what they are for? Getting paid to sleep lol alleged waking nights lololololol

This is a pretty serious allegation that cannot go unpunished. You need a name otherwise how can you poo through the employee's letterbox?

falcon punch him for showing you disrespect..................... then sleep with his sister, mother, cat in that order to show him you mean business.

I worked nights for quite a few years, one night I'd just about dropped off while sat upright in my chair, I opened my eyes to see my boss stood there looking at me. He didn't say a word, just walked off.

At another job I was shattered one night, the other 2 I was working with told me have a nap on the sofa in reception, so I did and it really helped me that night.

Surely having the odd nap on a night shift isn't a big problem? It has to be expected when working crazy hours. Sleeping in the day isn't always easy with noise and potential extra heat from sunlight.

all depends what you do really.

I used to work in goods in for a large 24/7 warehouse many moons ago. we used to have a big box of packing material next to the door and you could pretty much kip until a wagon turned up for unloading.

now i'm a taxi driver, might not be such a good thing nodding off at work.

what do you do OP?
