Hi

My friend has given me a dvd with a number of files that are unpacked using winace. Problem is the first file is called c.00 and the rest are numbered .01,.02 etc etc. When I try to unpack these files it keeps asking for the .ACE file but this is not on the dvd ? Any way around this or is there nothing I can do to unpack the files ?

Thanks

I am guessing the .ACE file is associated with WinAce. Try searching the install directory of WinAce for the file specified.

Hi

Should have been a bit more precise in my post.
The files are on the dvd from my friend are called photo.c00 and like I said in my previous post they carry on photo.c01,photo.c01 etc etc.
When I try to unpack these files it asks for photo.ace and this does not exist on the dvd. I did find a repair option in winace but it stops quite soon after running and does not appear to fix anything.

Try "win rar" and use "open with" and select win rar for the 00 file this may resolve it and allow the decompression. I am assuming they created a multiple file format archive. This is usually reserved for large files and transmission over newsgroups.
