Acer 5050 installing xp?

I have a Acer 5050 with vista basic,i upgraded to 1.5gb ram but i find vista slow,and not everything runs smooth on it.I want to install xp on the laptop but does anyone know if i will have problems with warranty ect if i ever needed to get it repaired?

no not at all, software isnt covered by warranty, you will probably be told to restore the original OS though before they diagnose a fault to remedy any software issue, unless its a blatant hardware fault like HD grinding etc
