Acer 521, maxiumum memory?

I've just bought one of these, they come with 1gb standard -only one memory slot

Can anyone confirm if you can whack a 4gb stick of ram in there?

Will be formatting it with W7 professional x64

Would have gone for a better model, but wanted something light and cheap as a work laptop

Max of 2gb per slot according to the Crucial website.

Ok according to this thread, 1 slot will take a 4gb stick.

Just to confirm, this does take a 4gb stick.

Was like a 2 legged dog on 1gb and all the rubbish that acer bundled with it. Now it's been formatted and is running like a dream
