Acer 6930G touch pad problems

Hi there,

Brand new Acer 6930G had vista 32 bit, so installed 64 bit RC7.... now I can't get the touch pad to work at all.... device manager says its installed selected it from control panel as I have a usb mouse in as well tried the synaptics drivers 64 bit vista as well, still no luck anyone have any ideas?

might have disabled the trackpad? Fn + trackpad button on the top row of the keyboard

i'm running the exact same laptop with win 7 64 bit and my track pad works ok, no difference to vista 32 that come pre installed, the short cut is fn + f7
