I recently bought an Acer A200 Iconia Tab, and dropped it.. It now has a nasty crack diagonally across the screen.
It still works ok, but I can't touch anything about 1cm either side of the crack, so I have to rotate the tablet to press what I want. From this I assume the LCD is perfectly fine, and its just the glass top cover?
I've never taken a touchscreen apart, but from a bit of research its proving difficult to find just the glass cover. I'm in Australia at the moment and Acer quoted me $210-$300 (135-195 GBP) to repair it, when the tablet only cost me $300...
So as long as I can find a replacement 'digitiser' (I think?) piece of glass, I'll have a go at fixing it myself.
