Acer AL2016Ws Is it worth the upgradefrom VP171s?

I recently upgraded my graphics to a X1900XT-X. I have a 17" Viewsonic VP171s. I have been very happy with it until I started reading the forums about widescreen monitors Always a mistake I know

What I want to know is if I got the above monitor would I notice a significant improvment over what I have? I play battlefield 2, CSS and Toca 3. My present monitor has a native res of 1280 x 1024. I don't want to spend money if the differance is not going to be significant

I recently bought the Acer 20inch widescreen monitor and imo it`s a superb monitor,
I too play toca 3,i run it at 1680x1050 the max res for the screen,you choose the widescreen option 16:10 or 16:9 i think before you start the game.
Playing games in widescreen look good,hl2 looks brilliant again in widescreen.
I would upgrade espically if you want a widescreen monitor and i`m sure that you will notice the upgrade to the Acer
