Dad has been looking to get my sister a laptop to use, and as she would just use it for internet browsing, music etc, we didnt really want to spend too much, and allow for bit more demanding programs at a later date.
We saw that a bit online shop has the Acer Aspire 5315 for £300 and £350.
It came today, and i have to say, reading about Acer etc, it feels very sturdy, and overall a good budget laptop.
Im not keen on Vista myself, but it came with a full key for Vista Home Premium.
The spec was;
Celeron M530 1.73GHz
15.4" TFT
1024MB RAM
120GB HDD
Intel Graphics Media X3100
Vista Home Premium
0.3mp Webcam
That came to £352 including delivery.
If anyones looking for a cheapish laptop to get, i can recommend this.
My ratings:
Build Quality - 8.5/10
Functionality - 8/10
Appearance - 8.5/10
Overall - 8.5/10
Good piece of kit, only downside is its fairly large, and weighs a fair bit.
But id recommend it to anyone whos looking for a laptop ~300-350.
Hope this helps someone.
