Acer Aspire 5738g WIFI Help

I have the above the laptop and wifi (Intel 5100) regularly drops in and out. Sometimes days of browsing/connection, others no connection at all.

I have looked online and it would appear a known issue with that card. Can anyone tell me what size wifi card the laptop uses (can't find docs ofr looking for some reason online) and also spec me a good replacement card?

Going to replace the card.

Can anyone tell me if I can replace the standard size wifi pcie card with a half height mini-card?

The laptop has an Intel 5100 wifi card, thinking of a half height Intel 6200 card. Or can anyone spec a better card?
