Acer aspire 5738z cpu upgrade problem

Hi all, I have the Acer Aspire 5738z and it has the JV50-MV mobo with an intel t4300 cpu.
I've bought a t9600 to replace the old cpu.
I've fitted the new cpu but the screen isn't coming on and it doesn't sound like it's booting.
I've double checked my connections and they all look good.
Is this cpu actually right as it raised from 800mhz fsb to 1066fsb.

Please help me

Is it supported by your mobo? Have you tried putting the old one back in and seeing if it works?

Yes, just tried putting the old one back n and still no display. it seem to be starting to boot but then stops and then tries again but still no display
