i have one of these with the spec in my sig and im just been trying to find a spec sheet on it and find different things and wondered if anyone be able to shed some light..

my CPU can be clocked to 2.53ghz via intel turbo boost technology, but when ive gone into setting on start up i cant seem to adjust anything??

i can have 8gb DDR3 1066mhz max and wondering would it be worth going from my 4gb it came with??

my GPU although spec sounds good its integrated, but i cant seem to find info whether this can be upgraded with a dedicated card as ive read it does and doesnt have a slot(unless ive miss read it) ??.

my laptop is like well over a year now, so wouldnt have any inclines to not try make it better.

first run a program like Speccy to show you your specs.

second the turbo boost thing is done automatically when needed. you don't need to adjust anything. (tho manual overclocking is possible if you flash an unlocked bios. I don't recomend this.)

the ram depends what you do. I upgraded my 4gb to 8gb and it made a hell of a difference. but then I often use two screens (an external monitor connected to laptop hdmi) and i like to game on one and have lots of stuff on the other still open. with 4gb this used to affect the game.

if your laptop is infact the 5740g and not the 5740. you should have a dedicated card. that is what the g stands for.

However if you don't have a dedicated card. There is no feasible way of installing a dedicated card in a modern acer laptop. If you really want one. Sell it and buy a lappy with one.
