Lot of bang for your buck here, I recommended this laptop to my friend recently based on specs and value for money, but he took one look at it in store and said it looked awful and went for a dell 1525 just because it came with a red lid :rolleyes:

I am looking at getting a laptop for around £500 and am interested in this, but I have seen this same laptop with an 8600M GS, is this a better card than the HD 3470 in the OCUK version?

I basically will be mostly playing dvd's, going on the interenet but I would also like to be able to play some old style games like COD2, will this laptop handle that?

It should play COD2 fine

It's never going to be a full on Crysis machine but for the kind of price it is - it's spot on.

Hmm think my decision is between this and the Dell XPS M1330. I am a little unsure about the look of this Acer as well, at the moment I am prefering the Dell. Is there a similar model to this Acer that I might find in a shop I can go and have a look at?
