Hi guys, I purchased a 6530G from Overclockers uk about a month ago, it came with vista premium preinstalled on the laptop, I didnt like it as I get better performance gaming using xp, so I formatted and installed xp, but now im getting random freezes and have to restart the laptop to carry on but it does this every 10 - 20minutes.

also, because I installed xp i had to find all the xp drivers for this model, so can anyone tell me what this is all about? lol

also in the bios the harddrive sata mode was set to AHCI but if i enable it on xp i get a BSOD, ive downloaded the drivers to sort that out but how can I if the IDE/ATA/ATAPI controllers are not named?

much appreciated

I've installed Windows7 RC1 on my 6930G (apologies, but I read that you had this laptop, not 6530G) and it installed near enough everything without me needing to go searching for drivers.

Windows update worked to get graphics, though I got some updated mobile graphics drivers from laptopvideotgo or whatever the site is called.

edit: Vista drivers would be what you'd need if you couldn't find suitable Win7 drivers.
