Acer Aspire 7720G problems

Just bought the above laptop yesterday to replace my old toshiba satelite A100.

Great laptop and an excellant spec.

However............

Do Acers not come with windows disks? There is nothing in the box at all, what am i meant to do if i wanted to do a fresh install of vista?

Also i have a backup outlook .pst file from outlook express off my old pc but i cant get it to load into windows mail. Do i need to convert it or something?

hello dont know if you havnt worked it out yet but what you need to do is goto acer recorvery settings and it prompts you to create a backup disk there is several options on what method you want to do
what i done was created a 2 dvd disk full restore disk so if the hdd fails i can boot the dvd disk with new hdd in and presto!

i feel that acer should be more clear on this but seeing i wanted to wipe all the crap that laptop comes with i had to persue a outcome so i could do a full reinstall with my vista ultimate disk with out all the junk
