Acer Aspire 9920 Corrupt Bios Help!!!

Hi guys, i recently tried updating the bios on a Acer Aspire 9920 laptop, for some reason the update failed and now the bios is corrupt, when i turn the laptop on it switches on all the lights come on but nothing shows on the screen it just stays blank, is there a way to flash the bios without anything loading? i have tried the battery out power off holding down the keys for a certain period of time but that didnt work, any help would be appreciated thank you.
 
i tried the way they describe but it doesnt work cause the bios file that mine uses is a .rom and the 1 he describes is a .fd, im really stuck everyone seems to have found a solution to all other laptop types not many seem to have the problem with this laptop, any other solutions would be greatly appreciated
 
I haven't done yet but i found another link within that forum that really helped out a lot, but i just need a usb external floppy drive to do it now, dont have 1 at hand tried with a usb stick but apparently it doesnt work with 1 and i couldnt get it working either, so i know how to do it now just waiting to get my hands on an external floppy drive, thanks for the links without them i think i would still be stuck helped a lot!
